Disneyland, my favorite place on Earth, brought to you by Disney, my favorite film studio on Earth is making some changes to the Hollywood Backlot at Disney's California Adventure. The park, built by people who had no clue what a theme park experience was supposed to be, is finally turning into a place Walt himself would be proud of with each passing month. With the recent addition of the Toy Story Mania ride, World of Color experience and The Little Mermaid dark ride currently being built, things are looking brighter for DCA, and ElecTRONica looks like it's going to really turn up the game grid heat for nighttime guests. The Disneyparks Blog has your first images of ElecTRONica. Here's more from Disneyparks:As they say in the digital world of TRON, “Greetings, Programs!†Today, we’re sharing concept art that gives you a first look at the new party we’re calling ElecTRONica. I’m told it! ’s the greatest nighttime dance party to ever rock Disney California Adventure park. Beginning October 8, the interactive, digital world of “TRON: Legacy†will light up Hollywood Pictures Backlot as we gear up for the film’s release on December 17. This will be a cool opportunity to peek inside the world of this movie, and it’s available only to visitors of Disney California Adventure park.
It’s an “electrifying†experience for the entire family, filled with music, lights and some of your favorite food and beverage, all set amidst the captivating world of “TRON: Legacy!†From a dazzling dance club under the stars to an authentic recreation of Flynn’s Arcade to some radical gaming, it’s like nowhere else on the grid! Each night, we’ll feature live entertainers, complete with lasers, glow accessories and the hottest music ever to rock the grid. ElecTRONica is “the†place to dance the night away in a fantastic world that only Disney can create. Highlights for the entire family will definitely be Flynn’s Video Arcade, face painting and the TRON: Evolution video game area.
ElecTRONica will transform Disney California Adventure park Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays this Fall. TRON fans and families can also enjoy the party seven days a week during Thanksgiving week and Christmas week.
Sounds awesome! As a huge Disneyland nut I can't wait to check it out. The Hollywood Backlot has been in dire need of some cool things and this looks like it will be a lot of fun for fans of Tron and for kids who are new to the Tron universe.. Besides Monsters Inc., Muppets and the Animation area (which is a lot of fun), ElecTRONica looks like it will be a cool way to experience the game grid for yourselves.

All is quiet on the Transformers 3 production front so seems like a good time for another linkfest. This week's edition covers more Masterpiece toy news, possible military application of TF concept, galleries and reviews.Masterpiece Rodimus Prime DetailsThe first real Masterpiece toy in years is supposed to be released sometime by the end of the year and new details have shown this could be one of the coolest yet. It seems the toy has been designed to transform not only into Rodimus Prime with trailer/battle station but also into Hot Rod. Click the link above to view a few more pics of what just might be one of the best Transformers yet. Of note is the toy is rumored to possibly be released stateside sometime next year but oddly! Hasbro will replace the trailer with a Targetmaster figure. I guess this is to keep the toy in the $50 or so price range.Power Core Combiner Video ReviewsPeaugh is back with five new reviews of various Power Core combiners. Not sure if the statue is part of the total cost. It looks cool and I am ! a huge fan of taking classic vehicles of any era and turning them into Transformers.
Masterpiece Movie Bumblebee ConfirmedIt seems that Takara plans to continue the Masterpiece movie line by repurposing the Battle Ops Bumblebee toy into Masterpiece Bumblebee much like they did for Leader class Starscream. While the mold remains the same, it does seem that Takara tweaked the toy a touch by adding chrome rims, clear right hand, and additional paint details.
