âM: I 4 âreceives has new publication DATEs

I always forget how many colons that abbreviation gets. Paramount Pictures has taken Mission: Impossible IV out of the summer of 2011 and moved it to December 16, 2011. Previously scheduled for a May 27, 2011 release, the movie will now face Fox's Alvin and the Chipmunks 3D on Dec. 16. Man, will Tom Cruise be beaten by computer animated, dated-catch-phrase spewing Chipmunks next year? He just might, my dears. He just might...Also, Brad Bird is rumored to be circling the director's chair for "Mission: Impossible 4." He would be making his live-action debut. I hope it happens. If just an iota of the great action scenes, fun vibe, and character-oriented sensibilities of "The Incredibles" can be married to the similar aesthetics of this franchise, we just may be in for a fantastic movie. Again...and I always say this when this sequel comes up...I just hope they make it more of a team movie than any of the others, and less of the "Tom Cruise as James Bond" show.Source: Paramount Pictures
