Tarsem Singh, which is connected, in order ton more steer the White snow off `in 3D

The classic Grimm’s fairy tale “Snow White” is coming back on the big screen and this version will be in 3D.

Relativity Media signed Tarsem Singh (The Cell) to begin production of the untitled Snow White project in March next year.

According to TheWrap, Relativity is interested in casting Natalie Portman as Snow White, but Singh prefers to cast an unknown star.

This film will also compete against other in-development projects of Universal’s “Snow White and the Huntsman” and Disney’s “Snow White and the Seven.”

Gig Patta’s Take: The three Snow White films will be with entirely different variations of the same story. The only problem is the audience may only tolerate the first film, so it may be a race to the finish. And there were several Snow White films in the past, so I don’t know if we truly need more.

What do you think of Tarsem Singh directing 3D film of Snow White?

Attractions off Luhrmann into actresses âbroad Gatsby â

One of the strangest upcoming projects has to be Baz Luhrmann attached to direct a live action version of "The Great Gatsby". Now that he's permanently locked n to tackle this project, it's time to find our leading ladies. The ones he has his eyes on for the role of Daisy Buchanan is Rebecca Hall, Amanda Seyfried, Michelle Williams, Keira Knightley, Natalie Portman, Abbie Cornish, Blake Lively and Scarlett Johansson. That's a lot of actresses, but of course there has to be one that stands out of the crowd in the director's mind. Rebecca Hall, last seen in Ben Affleck's "The Town", is said to be the front runner for casting. If Portman gives Luhrmann's project the time of day it could easily be hers, but since she's got a little bit of acting time on her hands she's been given offers to every other big project out there. Hey, when you go and dish out a wonderful performance like she did in "Black S! wan", of course people will practically be on their knees begging you to be in their next film.Out of all these actresses, which one of them would you like to see play Daisy in this version of "Gatsby"?Source: Deadline

Roofridge poster, then that the attempts place âtalks conditions âthe fear in you

Kevin Smith is going full speed ahead with his latest horror/thriller "Red State", and it certainly shows with them releasing the first poster. Have to admit that the broken glass design on it is pretty neat, though a lot of us still aren't entirely sure what to expect out of this one."Red State" centers on a group of kids encounters a crazed preacher (based on Fred Phelps, founder of the Westboro Baptist Church) who gives a whole new meaning to the term "extreme fundamentalism.""Red State" has a cast that includes Kyle Gallner, Melissa Leo, Michael Angarano, Stephen Root, Ralph Garman, Michael Parks and John Goodman. You can expect "Red State" to descend into theaters everywhere sometime in 2011.HolyGhostSource: My Boring-Ass Life

Side ground by âGnomeo and off the kingdom united by Juliet â

Shakespeare would never guess his story will eventually evolve into a cartoon about lawn gnomes.

The United Kingdom’s trailer for “Gnomeo & Juliet” has been released.

The official synopsis is “set in the gardens of fair Verona Drive, we witness the blossoming romance of two young gnomes, Gnomeo (James McAvoy) and Juliet (Emily Blunt), amidst a turf war between the reds and the blues. Between the high-speed lawnmower chases and stealth missions, hearts (and hats) are broken, loyalties are tested and garden boundaries drawn, but can true gnomance conquer all?

Other voice actors will include Matt Lucas, Maggie Smith, Michael Caine, Stephen Merchant, Ashley Jensen, Jason Statham and Ozzy Osbourne.

The animation will be released in theaters before Valentine’s Day on February 11th next year.

Gig Patta’s Take: I suppose they will not consume poison drinks and kill themselves at the end of the story. Oh, well.

Check out the trailer and let us know what you think.

Finally The saw has strong finishing with one weekend crat #1

I saw Brad Miska from Bloody Disgusting today at the supermarket and we were talking about the last Saw movie and how much I hated it and how he liked it. We both agreed that the ending would have worked better had we found out if John Kramer himself, during his tenure as Jigsaw, was victim to a larger game being played by someone else. Would have worked better than the cheap cop out shit they pulled instead. Regardless, Saw 3D came in #1 with an estimated $22.5 million. Not a big BO compared to PA 2's $41 million a week before. PA would have killed Saw had they gone head to head again this year. I'm glad the Saw series is over. That cow was milked dry four movies ago.PA 2 did good busines its second week with $16.5 million. Word of mouth kept the profits coming in. It has made $87 million worldwide. Not bad for a movie with a budget of $3 million.Red still has legs and stayed in third plac! e with $10.8 million. Rest of the movies petered out with new release Conviction managing to squeeze its way into 10th place despite only being shown on 565 screens.Since I wrote the wrong movies down for last week's release, it's convenient for me to just copy and paste it for this week. Yay for being a dummy. Next week Megamind, one of the worst movies of the year, opens. I'm not kidding. I didn't think Dreamworks could make something worse than Bee Movie and they have. It's a dull, unfunny movie with the same Dreamworks 3 part structure and horrible writing that will of course make money. Due Date opens against it, and it was just "meh". Some jokes worked, some didn't. All it did was make me wanna watch the funnier Planes, Trains and Automobiles. The excellent 127 Hours also opens. I recommend seeing that one, but I gotta warn you, it's really intense. Fair Game opens up as does Tyler Perry's For Colored Girls.Have a safe and happy Halloween everyone. WEEKEND TOP 10 STUD! IO ESTIMATES, October 22 - 24, 2010. 1 Saw 3D $22.5 M 2 Paranormal Activity 2 $16.5 M 3 Red $10.8 M 4 Jackass 3D $8.4 M 5 Hereafter $6.3 M 6 Secretariat $5.0 M 7 The Social Network $4.7 M 8 Life As We Know It $4.0 M 9 The Town $1.9 M 10 Conviction $1.8 M What did you guys see over the weekend?
