Ranging from the Green Goblin to some guy in the woods mistreating his wife, veteran actor Willem Dafoe is in talks to join 'Odd Thomas,' an upcoming film which is based on the novel from author, Dean R. Koontz. The synopsis of the film is as follows: "In a California desert town, a short-order cook with clairvoyant abilities encounters a mysterious man with a link to dark, threatening forces." Anton Yelchin stars in the film. He has had pivotal roles in 2009's 'Star Trek' and 'Terminator Salvation.' In addition to starring in 'Odd Thomas,' upcoming films that the actor is a part of include 'The Smurfs' and the remake of 'Fright Night.'Joining Yelchin is Addison Timlin, who plays Stormy, Thomas' girlfriend. She and the local police chief -- who Dafoe is in negotiations to play -- are the only two people who know about the supernatural secret that Thomas has. Stephen Sommers wrote the screenplay for the still director-less film. 'Odd Thomas' has a tentative 2012 release date.
