Clothes off Stallone upward like Gotti

The late John Gotti is well-known as a powerful crime boss that reigned the streets of New York for years. Sylvester Stallone is said to be filling the shoes of 'The Dapper Don' in an untitled project that's set on the Italian-American's life. Reports say that the story is based off of the recollections of John A. Gotti Jr., son and former head of the Gambino crime family in the 1990s.This could really work, especially with the casting of Stallone. There's so much back story with Gotti, even when you focus on how he clawed his way to the top. During the seventies and the eighties this man made climbed his way up to the head of the Gambino family. Of course, when your that high up at the top it's a long drop down, and he certainly did fall right into prison. He served life without parole when he was charged for racketeering, tax evasion, illegal gambling, loansharking, extortion, conspiracy to ! commit murder along with thirteen counts of murder. Ten years after his sentence he finally died of throat cancer in Missouri.It's always good to see occasional films like this pop out in theaters, just because the back story is so strangely interesting, at least to me. Then again, I'm one of those who watches those specials on the History channel of the rise and fall of crime families, so this is something right up my alley.Want to see Sylvester Stallone bring back a whole bunch of action stars from years past and see them blow up stuff on the big screen? Then be sure to catch "The Expendables" in theaters this August 13th at your local movie theater. Either that or do it as part two of your double feature you might be having with that and "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" like me.Source: TMZ
