Brought one the newest conditions Hugh Jackman one `the Wolverine

How about some tips to bulk up?

Director Darren Aronofsky asked actor Hugh Jackman to gain 25 pounds of muscle for “The Wolverine.”

“It’s not easy for me,” said Jackman to Entertainment Weekly. “Because I’m actually quite long and lean.”

Jackman contacted Dwayne Johnson for some tips to bulk up for his movie. The answer was “six pounds, a pound a week, 6,000 calories a day which, Jackman points out, is an awful lot of chicken, steak and brown rice.”

As for the movie itself, he is really excited to be working with Aronofsky again. The two worked together in 2006’s “The Fountain.”

“We had a meeting about three weeks ago, catching up as friends more than anything, and he just ran a few ideas by me and my eyes just lit up, because already I think this is a whole new ballgame â€" just the ideas, the level of depth, and intelligence,” said Jackman. “I think he’s been waiting so long to do a movie in this genre. When he found the script, he said this is it. It’s really exciting.”

The filming will begin next spring and is slated for theater release in 2012.
