`The seaweed LED of catches UP âthe Harry Potter and holy tons sanctify portion of off death 1 âfor the crat off weekend

“Tangled” passed “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows--Part 1” for box office receipts in the least-attended post-Thanksgiving weekend since 1997.

“Tangled” took the number one spot with $21.5 million and with “Harry Potter” slipping into second place with $16.7 million. However, both movies were off their marks at 52 percent and 66 percent drop respectively.

“Tangled” has totaled $96.5 million, which will soon surpass last year’s “The Princess and the Frog” at $104.4 million total. However, film ticket sales were 56 percent from 3D theaters for “Tangled.”

Rounding out the top five, “Burlesque” and “Unstoppable” both took $6.1 million. And “Love & Other Drugs” received the fifth spot for $5.7 million.

As for the final Thanksgiving week movie “Faster,” it ended up eighth place at $3.8 million and disappearing off the charts pretty fast.

The only new release was “The Warrior’s Way,” which broke into the top ten at ninth place with $3.1 million, which is horrible for a film in 1,622 locations. It made less than “Jonah Hex,” “Dragonball Evolution,” Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li” and “Punisher: War Zone” in their premiere weekends.

For limited releases, “Black Swan” received $1.4 million at 18 locations and “I Love You, Phillip Morris” debuted in 6 theaters for $113,316.

Next week, be prepared for a good lineup of movies with “The” in the title including “The Tourist,” “The Tempest,” and “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader,” “The Company Men,” and “The Fighter.”
