Want a picture of Steve Carell looking absolutely uncomfortable? Here you go. Better yet, let me rephrase that and say here is the first official image for the new Glenn Ficarra and John Requa comedy "Crazy, Stupid, Love."As you might have already guessed, "Crazy, Stupid, Love" centers on Steve Carell, a forty-something straight-laced Cal Weaver, who's living the dreamâ"good job, nice house, great kids and marriage to his high school sweetheart. But when Cal learns that his wife, Emily (Julianne Moore), has cheated on him and wants a divorce, his âperfectâ life quickly unravels. Worse, in todayâs single world, Cal, who hasnât dated in decades, stands out as the epitome of un-smooth. Now spending his free evenings sulking alone at a local bar, the hapless Cal is taken on as wingman and protege to handsome, thirtysomething pl! ayer Jacob Palmer (Ryan Gosling). In an effort to help Cal get over his wife and start living his life, Jacob opens Calâs eyes to the many options before him: flirty women, manly drinks and a sense of style that canât be found at Supercuts or The Gap. Cal and Emily arenât the only ones looking for love in what might be all the wrong places: Calâs 13-year-old son, Robbie, is crazy about his 17-year-old babysitter, Jessica, who harbors a crush on Cal. And despite Calâs makeover and his many new conquests, the one thing that canât be made over is his heart, which seems to keep leading him back to where he began."Crazy, Stupid, Love" sounds a little crammed, but then again it's Glenn Ficarra and John Requa. These two guys wrote "Bad Santa" and directed "I Love You Phillip Morris," both that are certainly a-okay in my book. Let's see what these two can dish out this time around when "Crazy, Stupid, Love" comes out on April 22nd, 2011.
