One cannot just simply call it as âThe Hobbit.â
TheOneRing.net has reported that New Line Cinema has registered two film titles of âThe Hobbit: There and Back Again,â and âThe Hobbit: An/The Unexpected Journey.â
âThe Hobbitâ film is split into two parts, therefore both titles may be used rather than calling it as âThe Hobbit: Part 1â and âThe Hobbit: Part 2.â
âThere and Back Againâ is the subtitle of J.R.R. Tolkienâs âThe Hobbitâ story. Bilbo Baggins used it as part of his memoirs on his travels with Gandalf, Thorin and a party of dwarves. As for âUnexpected Journey,â it is about Bilbo being recruited for adventure.
Here is the âThe Hobbitâ synopsis:
âWhisked away from his comfortable, un-ambitious life in his hobbit-hole by Gandalf the wizard and a company of dwarves, Bilbo Baggins finds himself caught up in a plot to raid the treasure hoard of Smaug the Magnificent, a large and very dangerous dragon.â
Director Peter Jackson will helm the production of the film in New Zealand. The film stars Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Elijah Wood, Christopher Lee, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Andy Serkis, Richard Armitage, and Saoirse Ronan.
The first film part will be in theaters next year on December 19.
Since nothing has been confirmed as official yet, New Line Cinema may be registering these names just in case. As a fan of the book, I personally like the names as the possible titles for the two parts of âThe Hobbit.â What do you think about these possible titles?
