âThe green lantern âhas the PEAK seems set ton confirm rumors off the cgi of clothes

What's going on with those "Green Lantern" set security guards? Here's some info/speculation regarding another leaked pic from the shoot of the upcoming superhero film. We're psyched to say we've got a pic from the set of "Green Lantern" that, while it doesn't show Reynolds in full-on costume, it does provide an indication of how that costume will be created for the big screen â€" and some confirmation of rumors we've heard previously. In the following photo provided to MTV News, Reynolds is seen zipping up a full motion-capture suit on the set of "Green Lantern," indicating some heavy CGI could indeed be used to bring the DC hero's emerald-hued costume to life. Previously, "Green Lantern" co-writer and producer Greg Berlanti said the film's team was "on lockdown" about the look they're going for with the live-action Hal Jordan, though DC Entertainment's Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns seemed to confirm that Reynolds' costume will be more CGI than actual clothing. I'm still having trouble visualizing the need for a CGI Green Lantern suit. Isn't his actual costume just a simple green and black bodysuit? I understand that a lot of green energy and junk comes pouring out of his ring, but his costume doesn't change along with his power, does it? Would it really be that hard just to design and make a decent-looking, physical jump suit and surround Reynolds with the computer effects that would bring the powers of the ring to life? Unless they're gonna have the costume shape shift between textures for some reason, I just don't see the need to go computer generated. Obviously, without really knowing what they're going for, I can only guess. Still, it seems like an odd choice. gl-ryanreynoldsSource: MTV
