Mark Ruffalo wants make the execution off month has for the drunkenness into `the Rächer

Mark Ruffalo signing on to play the Hulk for Marvel’s upcoming The Avengers was a good move. Given that Edward Norton wasn’t coming back, I don’t think the studio could have gone with a more interesting choice than Ruffalo. He’s a great, nuanced actor who will hopefully have the room to make his own mark on the character.

But we didn’t know how Ruffalo would interact with the highly digitized aspects of the character. Now he tells Vulture that the green-skinned Hulk will be performed via motion capture, and that he’ll be in the suit. Ruffalo told Vulture,

I’m really excited. No one’s ever played the Hulk exactly, they’ve always done CGI…They’re going to do the Avatar stop-action, stop-motion capture. So I’ll actually play the Hulk. That’ll be fun.

He also spoke with great enthusiasm about playing Bruce Banner, the Hulk’s human half,

I really love the first TV version of it, the Bill Bixby one…I’m gonna shoot for that a little bit. He was an everyman in it. He’s always on the run and trying to find love. It’s really a sympathetic character, before he turns into the Hulk and fucks everything up.

Joss Whedon will direct Ruffalo in The Avengers alongside Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson. The film should begin shooting in February of next year.
