DreamWorks wants create apes off `the stimulation off Bollywood

Singing monkeys?

DreamWorks Animation assembled a strong team for “Monkeys of Bollywood,” with composer A.R. Rahman, Broadway lyricist Stephen Schwartz and producers Gurinder Chadha and Paul Berges.

The animation was inspired by the Hindu epic poem “The Ramayana.” The story is about two monkeys trying to stop a demon from conquering the world.

“As soon as I heard that DreamWorks Animation envisioned making an animated Bollywood movie, I knew I wanted to be a part of it,” said Schwartz. “The fact that A.R. Rahman got involved made it an even more exciting project.”

It is unclear if Chadha will be directing the project. She directed films such as “Bend It Like Beckham” and “Bride and Prejudice.”

According to Variety, the project is to be fast-tracked and it will be the studio’s first animated feature musical.

Well, that’s something I haven’t seen yetâ€"Bollywood animation.
