It appears that we have finally found out what Guillermo Del Toro will be directing next, and that'll be "At the Mountains of Madness". The H.P. Lovecraft novel focuses on a scientific expedition to explore Antartica. While on their expedition they uncover prehistoric species that is awakened only to wreak havoc on their victims.The creatures alone sound like something that's up in Del Toro's alley, mainly because he's got such an imagination that takes on a life of it's own in the world of each film he makes. To have James Cameron on board as producer is the making of something that can be pretty epic. You combine Del Toro's style with Cameron's state-of-the-art 3D and visually at the least "At the Mountains of Madness", what a sweet combination.During this past weekend's San Diego Comic-Con a lot of us imagined that Del Toro would come out and tell us all what his next d! irecting gig would be. A lot of us, including myself, got giddy with excitement when he pranced out on stage for Disney's "The Haunted Mansion" remake, but for him to take on "At the Moutain of Madness" could turn out to be one heck of a project.
