The film earned an estimated $20.3 million on 3,018 screens. It was also the only wide-release film to premiere this weekend.

Last week’s top earner “The Green Hornet,” earned $18.1 million, a drop of 46 percent from the previous week. It is the first superhero movie for this year and is starring Seth Rogen and Jay Chou.

“The Dilemma,” dropped one spot to third place with $9.7 million, a drop of 45.4 percent from the previous weekend.

And award-quality films of “The King’s Speech” and “True Grit” still remained in the top five for the box office weekend. “The King’s Speech” is holding its own with $9.16 million, nearly matching last weekend’s gross with only a 0.2 percent drop. And “True Grit,” took fifth place at $8 million.

For the next weekend, it will premiere new films including “The Rite,” “The Mechanic,” and “Prada to Nada.”
