Colin Farrell off-talk the leading role with the full RückrufRemake

Sony made an offer last week to Colin Farrell for Columbia Pictures’ “Total Recall,” and since has been in negotiations.

Farrell would play Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character in the original 1990 movie. Tom Hardy and Michael Fassbender were considered for the role previously.

“Total Recall” is loosely based on Philip K. Dick’s short story called, “We Can Remember It for You Wholesale.”

The remake will be directed by Len Wiseman. Variety has also reported scriptwriter Kurt Wimmer will contemporize the story.
