Channing Tatum is continuing his streak of being a buff soldier on the big screen in Kevin Macdonald's new film "The Eagle." He stars in the cast that includes Jamie Bell, Mark Strong and Donald Sutherland. The story is based off the 1954 novel written by Rosemary Sutcliff, adapted for the big screen by Jeremy Brock.In 140 AD, a young Roman centurion attempts to uncover the truth about the disappearance of his father's legionâ€"the Ninthâ€"in the north of Britain twenty years previously. The centurion, Marcus Aquila (Tatum), travels with a British slave, Esca (Bell), beyond Hadrian's Wallinto Caledonia, where he must confront the tribes to recover the legion's eagle standard and restore his father's reputation.Let's check out a bunch of buff men covered in mud yelling at each other in "The Eagle," out in theaters on February 25th, 2011.
