Gold Circle Films' sequel "The Haunting in Georgia" fills the main slots with the additions of Chad Michael Murray, Emily Alyn Lind and Katee Sackhoff onto the cast. The Tom Elkins directed feature is based off the tales by the real-life Wyrick family with the script penned by David Coggeshall. "Georgia" is the sequel to the 2009 Peter Cornwell horror thriller "TheHaunting in Connecticut." Murray portrays Andy Wyrick, the blue collar, no-nonsese husband to Spencer's Lisa Wyrick, a young mother struggling with horrifying visions, a curse she shares with her wayward sister Joyce (Sackhoff) and now fears has been passed on to her young daughter Heidi (Lind), Cicely Tyson.Principal photography begins for "Georgia" later on this month. It makes sense that Gold Circle is striking the opportunity to further expand the so-called true t! ales into a possible franchise, especially since "Saw" is supposedly wrapped up. The first film, "The Haunting in Connecticut," managed to take in a good $55 million domestically. Since the whole could-be true horror tale is the latest craze going on with audiences, let's see if everyone will gobble this new feature up.Source: Heat Vision Blog
