Engine of vehicles 2, which set its engine with leaving behind the wheel one

John Lasseter is a big fan of the Cars franchise for some reason. It might have something to do with that little thing called Cars-Land opening up at Disney's California Adventure around the same time as Cars 2 comes out (coincidence!) or maybe the dude just like the characters. After all, he did direct the short Tokyo Mater, which was pretty clever. The sequel to Cars, curiously called Cars 2 instead of "Cars: New Model Same Old 'Tude" or "Cars: Auto-ld You There'd Be A Sequel" was running into some story potholes. Not a big deal since every single Pixar movie has growing pains. Lasseter was reportedly taking a personal interest in the sequel and spending a lot of time on it, leading us to believe that he would be back to direct it. Disney announced at their Holiday Showcase Event that Lasseter is officially co-directing Cars 2 with Brad Lewis.Hey, good news for Cars fans I suppose! . I'm sure there's more behind this than John's, "I wanna get my hands under the hood one more time!" attitude. More like Disney suits saying, "The movie is tying into our new land at DCA. Make sure it doesn't suck."I mentioned before I wasn't a fan of the first Cars film but I did enjoy the Tokyo Mater short. If the movie can be as enjoyable and clever as that, then it'll be a lot more fun to drive than the first one was.Source: Disney
