âHugo Cabretâ slip in Paramount counterpart A new DATE OF publication

Thankfully we won't have to wait too much longer for Martin Scorsese's "Hugo Cabret" to be released into theaters. The 3D picture was once tucked in under Sony Pictures' distribution wing, but now after some fancy negotiating between GK Films and Paramount, the project is with that studio. That's mainly to do with the fact that "Hugo Cabret" will now be released on November 23rd a.k.a. Thanksgiving weekend. If GK were to have left "Hugo Cabret" with Sony, we wouldn't see the picture grace theaters until December 9th. The project will now be going head-to-head with James Bobin's "The Muppets," also being released on that day.The upcoming family mystery film, based off the novel written by Brian Selznick, is Scorsese's first 3D film. "Cabret" boasts a cast that includes Chloe Moretz, Ben Kingsley, Asa Butterfield, Sacha Baron Cohen and Jude Law.Source: Deadline
