âThe NEXT film off Muppet âis shifted tons thanksgiving

Originally the House of Mouse was scheduling "The Muppets" to be released on Christmas Day, which sounds like a smart move. However, thanks to the adorable "Tangled" making an estimated $100 million domestically in the box office, they decided to push it up to Thanksgiving day. Hey, that's a pretty cozy place to put a film like that. Then again, I'm one of those who would like to see it tomorrow, but they can't exactly finish "The Muppets" that fast. We can't forget the competition that "The Muppets" is going to face that weekend, which happens to be "Arthur Christmas" and the still some-what unknown comedy "Project X.""Disney has an incredible success opening films over the Thanksgiving weekend," said Chuck Viane, Disney's president of global distribution. "I have spoken with the Muppets, and we all agreed this comedy is a great fit for the holiday 2011 time frame."If the move has! the seal of approval with the Muppets, then it's fine by me. "The Muppets" has our favorite Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Swedish Chef, Gonzo and Fozzie Bear teaming up with humans Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Emily Blunt and Chris Cooper. Filming is currently going on in Smog City (a.k.a. Los Angeles).Source: Variety
