With more better collection receives âlegacies from Tron âwith bridges, Hedlund and savage

It all started back in Comic-Con of 2008 where a large group of lucky fans were able to take witness of the first glimpse of test footage for the then-titled "Tr2n." With the buzz of a sequel thickly hanging in the air, many fans tingled with anticipation to see what the House of Mouse had to offer. Believe me, especially after the first Comic-Con tease, it's been almost some-what torturous for the sequel to slowly but surely make it's way into theaters. Well, it's been a long two years later but here we all are, sitting in the middle of the opening weekend for Walt Disney Pictures' "Tron Legacy." Finally witnessing a sequel to the cult-status 1982 Steve Lisberger science fiction tale is certainly a relief to may fans.A fair number of us have already flocked to theaters just to watch "Tron Legacy" and have either hugged onto the sequel with open arms or have pushed it away. Regardless, you h! ave to give credit where it's due. The small group of people it's definitely due to is the cast of "Tron Legacy."Jeff_Bridges_in_TRON_LEGACY_2_jpgSince Kevin Flynn is the connecting glue between the real world and "The Grid," you can't go on without having his character, played by Jeff Bridges, being part of the sequel. He certainly had his share of hesitation, but luckily Disney had everything lined up, from the director to casting, to win the veteran actor over. "I mean I could see all the technology and everything, but are they going to be able to pull it off right. And Disney did a beautiful job of that you know. Casting I think is so important not only the actors, but you know the director for one thing, he helms the whole thing. And they got Joe, never directed a movie before... And he was -- his personality is so calm and sure, he brings all h! is architectural knowledge you know to the party."Speaking of ! casting, one of the biggest eyebrow-raising parts of the entire main actors is rising star Garrett Hedlund. He's got quite the nice résumé built up, between his roles in "Friday Night Lights," "Eragon" and "Death Sentence."Although there are many people who are squeezing into theaters to see if the young man's acting is up-to-par, he at least has a firm grasp of who the orphaned Sam Flynn is and how to properly portray him on screen. "It's not like coming-of-age or anything like that. It's kind of a coming to terms and, sort of, you know, sort of having the jugular to deliver. And having the heart and soul in you and the drive to deliver. And it's kind of -- that's more what it was. I mean yeah, and he's forced to sort of do heroic acts once in a while with those tools." Olive_Wilde_in_TRON_LEGACY_1Amongst the new faces that pop out in "Legacy" is that of Oliv! ia Wilde. She's been in recurring roles in a couple of television series including "House," but the world hasn't properly paid notice to the actress until now. Then again, audiences may be expecting a sultry, manipulative kind of "Grid" inhabitant, but that's not who Quorra really is. "She's quirky and odd and I like that. And another reason I was so adamant about making her so intelligent as well as being a warrior, is because I really want her to appeal to the female audience and particularly young females... I want girls to feel inspired by her strength and her with and her intelligence and her compassion. I think it's rare these days to have a female character in these types of movies that isn't just there to look really sexy in a suit. Too often that's what happens and you wonder who did these little girls dress up as for Halloween."Amongst all the different answers each of these actors were able to dish out, Wilde is the one who's certainly right on the money, giving u! s the lay down of what "Tron Legacy" is really all about. "...! It is al so a true love story and also a family story and anyone who has, you know, a relationship, strained or not, with their father will really connect tot his story because in the end that's what it's about. It's about a son and a father finding each other again and I find that terribly moving and powerful. And so I think beyond all the special effects and all the beauty of this film that's really what is at its heart and core."Do yourself a favor and check out Joseph Kosinski's "Tron Legacy," currently out in theaters and IMAX and presented in Disney Digital 3D.Be on the lookout for the second half of the "Tron Legacy" interviews where we dive into spoiler territory with director Joseph Kosinski.Source: Latino Review
