All right, so the different characters that have been cast as of recent have kind of made me wonder how much focus they'll have on the actual origin story of Xavier and Lensherr's dissolving friendship. Another step in the right direction has happened for the casting of "X-Men: First Class" with the addition of "Damages" star Rose Byrne. She'll be taking the role of Moira MacTaggert, Xavier's former flame who ends up creating her own mutant research center on Muir Island. That completely throws out the rumor that actress Rosamund Pike will be taking on the character, which isn't too much of a loss. It appears almost all the major characters are filled up for "X-Men: First Class" unless there's some more that Fox plans to have in there that we don't know about. Those that are part of the cast include James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Alice Eve, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Lucas T! ill, Caleb Landry Jones and Edi Gathegi. Initial filming is slated to begin later on this month and the Twentieth Century Fox film will be released on June 3rd, 2011.Source: The Hollywood Reporter
