Hollywood abhors you: Young steam turbine and gas turbine system more another foreign FilmRemake.

From one unnecessary remake to the next, Hollywood is spinning it's remake tires into the redline as more and more fantastic foreign films get the ugly, stupid American makeover. Why is this? Because Americans hate to read their movies. It's true. Talk to any regular Joe and he'll tell you he doesn't want to read the subtitles. That's it's too "hard" to follow the movie if he has to read it. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we are too god damned stupid to pay attention to a movie if it has subtitles.Joining the unnecessary remake world of 'Let the Right One In', 'The Orphanage', and 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' comes a remake of 'Tell No One'. Never seen it? Here's the synopsis courtesy of the LA Times:Sources tell us that Andrew Dominik, the New Zealand filmmaker [Update: Per the comment below, the New Zealand-born Aussie filmmaker] who wrote and directed "The Assassination of Jesse James b! y the Coward Robert Ford," has been writing a draft of the script for the English-language version of the thriller.

Dominik has been charged with reworking the story of a doctor who, after believing his wife has been murdered years before (and in fact after being named as a suspect in the case), begins getting mysterious messages suggesting she may still be alive. (Dominik, whose "Ford" also saw an upscale drama wed to a familiar genre, is an interesting choice to write about a mysterious femme: He's developing the Marilyn Monroe biopic "Blonde").

Click HERE to read more about it.You can wait to see if they remake Tell No One (they'll probably call it 'Keep Your Fat Mouth Shut' or "Shut Your Pie Hole' for us stupid Americans) or you can just go rent the original out in video stores now. After having seen the original Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and Let the Right One In, I have zero interest in seeing the remakes. How about you?Source: LA Times
