Steve Carell and his Carousel Productions banner are getting together with Warner Bros Pictures in order to start up the remake of the film "Un novio para mi mujer" ("A Boyfriend for My Wife". Carell will be serving as a producer and taking on the lead role in the remake of the popular 2008 Argentinean film."Un novio para mi mujer", directed by Juan Taratuto, focuses on a timid husband who believes the only way out of his stifling marriage is to get his wife to fall in love with another man, so he enlists in the help of a legendary yet unlikely Lothario. Phil Halprin and Mark Gibson are co-writing the project. The two writers previous credits include "The Wild", "The In Crow" and "Snow Dogs". They wouldn't exactly be my first choice but if that's what they want then so be it.You can still check out Carell alongside Paul Rudd in the Jay Roach comedy "Dinner for Sc! hmucks" in theaters right now. If you'd prefer to skip out on that film like I did, you can wait for him to show up on the screen next year in Glenn Ficarra and John Requa's "Crazy, Stupid, Love", out in theaters April 22nd, 2011.
