Quite a few of us were beginning to wonder if we ever were going to see Terrence Malick's directed film "The Tree of Life" in theaters anytime soon. It's been pushed around for awhile, it's time to give the poor film a break. Luckily it finally has, grabbing the release date of May 27th, 2011. Hopefully that won't change and will stay as is. The cast for the film includes Brad Pitt, Sean Penn and Jessica Chastain.From the acclaimed director of such classic films as BADLANDS, THE THIN RED LINE and DAYS OF HEAVEN, THE TREE OF LIFE is the impressionistic story of a Midwestern family in the 1950's chronicling the journey of the eldest son, Jack (played as an adult by Sean Penn), through the innocence of childhood to his disillusioned adult years - trying to reconcile the complicated relationship with his father (Brad Pitt). Jack finds himself a lost soul in the modern world, seeking answers ! to the origins and meaning of life while questioning the existence of faith.With this announcement hopefully we'll be getting a new trailer for this film really soon.
