The shorts film âAlma âedge fuel element integral year film with the stimulation off DreamWorks

Long hard nights at Pixar paid off for animator Rodrigo Blaas.

Blaas is in negotiations for his directorial debut to bring “Alma” into a full-length movie for DreamWorks Animation. He is also working with Guillermo del Toro, the executive producer on this project.

Blass made “Alma” short film in his spare time while working on different Pixar projects. In the past, he worked with “Finding Nemo,” “Up” and other short animations.

The short film is about a young girl, Alma, who was enthralled by a look-alike doll of herself at a toy store. She would enter the toy store only to discover the sinister place had other plans for her.

Blass will also be co-director with del Toro on del Toro’s first animated feature, “Trollhunters.”

Gig Patta’s Take: This story is like an episode from the “The Twilight Zone.” It looks great as a short animation, but I hope it would garner good success as a full-length feature film.

What do you think of “Alma” turning into a full-length feature film?
