Magicians never go out of style in movie form, which is why DreamWorks scooped up the screenplay "Voices From the Dead" to be made into a film. J. Michael Straczynski wrote up the thriller script that focuses on a fictional account of Arthur Conan Doyle and Harry Houdini teaming up with a psychic to solve a set of murders in 1920's New York. The cool thing is that it's not like this premise isn't entirely far-off from any sort of speculation one friend had over the other. Apparently Doyle even wrote in his book "The Edge of the Unknown" where he claimed Houdini possessed psychic powers. So it may sound like a strange premise, but if you also dig Straczynski's previous work ("Jeremiah," "Changeling," "Ninja Assassin") then maybe this is up your alley.Source: Heat Vision Blog
