Tom sturdily speaks you plague into the `that the more dark knight rose

Actor Tom Hardy was a guest on the British Alan Carr’s Chatty Man talk show. Hardy was asked about his role as Bane in “The Dark Knight Rises.”

One of the first questions was on whether he would wear a gimp mask similar to Bane in the 1997 “Batman & Robin” film.

“Only if I feel like it,” he joked. “Christopher Nolan will revisit that territory entirely. I wouldn’t go by [Bane in “Batman & Robin”] at all.”

Hardy also mentioned he needed to bulk up in three months before the production of the film. He estimated he needs to gain to be about “13-and-a-half or 14 stone,” which is approximately 200 pounds. He is 12 stone, which is approximately 170 pounds.

The film will be in theaters next year on July 20.
