Saeid Mirzaei Reality Martial Arts Vancouver vs Bill Else Fight Pit Maple Ridge BC. This was Mirzaei debut in the cage and he already has provincial and western Canadian titles in freestyle wrestling. He has shown up at my BJJ classes and he is very tough to grapple. Saeid demonstrated that he can make the transition to MMA and managed to finish Else in third round, despite expending a tremendous amount of energy for an MMA fight in takedowns.

43 seconds into round 2, Mark Sheane from World Class Martial Arts Kamloops BC took out Brandon Shorter from Revolution Fight Team with a roundhouse kick.
Walter “The Fillipino Warrior†Barrios Diverse Extreme Kamloops vs Vaz Lep World Kickboxing Vancouver. Round 2, Barrios kept putting on pressure in a striking battle that went from the ground to stand up. Then Barrios put Lep against the cage and was able to feed him knees for a while, and continued striking until ref stoppage.
Shawn Pallan of Dragon’s Den Elite Vancouver wins against Josh “Mangler†Mazerolle Clinch 4 Life by 15 seconds round 2 TKO.
Logan Martin Carlson Gracie challenged Joe Halfar from Posener’s in an Amateur Muay Thai bout. Going into the final 5th round, Halffar controlled the whole fight, and his technical skills beat out the brawler.

Olivier Vajda Carlson Gracie Maple Rdige vs James ‘The Hatian Devastation’ Pratt Comox Valley MMA. Both fighters stayed standing to avoid testing one another on the ground in the first half of the fights. Trading knees in the clinch in the later end of the fight and some ground fighting made it a good fight that was hard to call.

For the Co-Main event, Rob “Wolverine†Woodcock from Coquitlam went in the cage with Emilio Ditroccio from Posener’s . Ref stoppage ended the fight due to fully extended armbar Round 1.
In the main event of the evening, Murray “Showtime†Sogen Elite Martial Arts took on Andrew “Sinister†Small Revolution Fight Team. The five round bout for a belt went until round 4 and would end due to ref stoppage, TKO.
