If you really want to know, then go ahead and read on. So SPOILER ALERT for those who still wants to remain in the dark.

Unnamed sources close to the project have told Variety that Gordon-Levitt will be playing the villain named Alberto Falcone, the son of Mafia chieftain Carmine Falcone. Carmine Falcone was played by actor Tom Wilkinsin in “Batman Begins.”

Alberto Falcone is also known as the Holiday Killer. The character first appeared in the comic books “Batman: The Long Halloween” and “Batman: Dark Victory.” He is known as a mysterious vigilante assassinating other criminals on various holidays during the year.

Although the film version may be different from the comic books, it would bring the Nolan storyline full circle back to “Batman Begins” with the mafia subplots. According to Variety, Nolan preferred to have Batman face against “realistic” villains rather than cartoonish nemesis such as Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy.

Actress Juno Temple was also in talks to join the cast of the film. It is known that she will play a supporting role as a street-smart Gotham girl. Variety could not specifically name her role at this time.

Representatives for Warner Brother and the actors declined to comment on casting and character rumors.

“The Dark Knight Rises” will be on July 20 next year.
