Discussions âsmashing neck off David Slade ââthe read journey Demeter âand more other projects

It was recently reported that "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" and "30 Days of Night" director David Slade would be dipping his feet into the comic book adapted film realm with a reboot of "Daredevil." It's said to be based more along the lines of the "Born Again" story arc where Kingpin finds out the true identity of Daredevil and completely destroys Matt Murdock's life piece by piece.Today the director kindly gave us a heads up on not only "Daredevil" but his possible involvement with "Deadpool," "The Last Voyage of the Demeter" and "The Wolverine."So without breaking confidentiality, yes Daredevil, we have a great outline for a very strong character driven take on Mr Matt Murdock. It will bare no relation to the previous Daredevil movie in any way. We are at early planning stages and have not yet discussed any cast.In regards to "Deadpool":Love Deadpool, was never engaged in the (quite fanta! stic) script, last I heard studio was looking at comedy directors. None of my business. His involvement with "The Last Voyage of the Demeter":The Last Voyage of the Demeter, Noomi Rapace and Ben Kingsley want to do it, so do I. And last but not least, "The Wolverine":Wolverine, there have been no discussions about this project to date. Interesting to see what will happen with that as the again excellent script by Chris McQuarrie was set largely in Japan.Honestly, you would figure that if he's got his hands full with "Daredevil" that he wouldn't have time to mess around with "The Wolverine" and "Deadpool." However, we've known for awhile now that he's attached to direct "The Last Voyage of the Demeter" so it's safe to assume that he'll have this project in the can before he gets behind the camera on "Daredevil."Source: Twitter
